English transcription: Miss Ella Griffin, UNESCO Expert for the Development of Reading Materials, is on assignment at the Bureau of Ghana languages in Accra, as Managing Editor of the Bureau. She also gives in-service training to the editorial staff. The Bureau produces fortnightly newspapers in six of the main languages of Ghana, booklets for the Mass Education programme informational literature in co-operation with the various ministries, textbooks for the primary schools, and literature, primarily in the languages of Ghana, for the general public. This young woman describes the books to her child.
