English transcription: In order to improve the acoustics of the Conference Room for which it had originally contributed the furnishings in 1959 (architect Professor Johannes Krahn), the Federal Republic of Germany is undertaking its redecoration. This tapestry representing an abstract design by Professor Ferdinand Lammeyer, occupies one wall of the Conference Room. It measures 12.20 m x 1.5 m. Shown here is a meeting in the newly decorated conference room.
French transcription: Une réunion dans la salle de conférences N° VIII. En 1959, le Gouvernement de la République Fédérale d'Allemagne a offert à l'UNESCO cette salle (architecte Professeur Johannes Krahn). Afin d'améliorer l'acoustique, la République Fédérale vient de faire effectuer des décorations et notamment une tapisserie murale d'art abstrait du Professeur Ferdinand Lammeyer dont les dimensions sont de 12 m.20 x 1 m.50.
Description: An international meeting (visible name plates Equateur, Allemagne, Espagne, Amérique, France..) in session in UNESCO's Conference no. VIII. Seventeen participants are visible, as well as 4 simultaneous interpreters in the booths in the back. The rear side wall is entirely occupied by a tapestry (untitled) by Ferdinand Lammeyer (Germany).
