English transcription: UNESCO project for the recovery of the Medina at Fes. This project has been set up in agreement with the Moroccan government. It is in keeping with the international campaign decided upon by the UNESCO General Conference in 1976 to protect the ancient city of Fes. The cemetery of Bab Ftouh.
French transcription: Projet de l'UNESCO pour la réhabilitation du centre de la Médina de Fès. Ce projet a été défini avec l'accord du Gouvernement marocain en vue de la campagne internationale en faveur de la préservation de l'ancienne cité de Fès décidée par la Conférence Générale de l'UNESCO en 1976. Cimetière de Bab Ftouh.
Description: The cemetery of Bab Ftouh. In the foreground, a cluster of headstones, and various standing or seated visitors. Going downwards, trees, gravediggers, strollers, a car, and behind it, a large crowd of people attending a funeral. Continuing steeply upwards on a hill, further clusters of headstones, and - at the very top - a large building.
