English transcription: The recent discovery of a deep artesian well gives a completely revised picture of the future development of this region of the Sahara desert. Experimental borings have released high pressure jets of water at a temperature of 60°C which is already being used in the irrigation channels of the region. Shown here are some of these irrigation channels, also used by sheep and goats as watering troughs.
Description: In the desert. A group of sheeps and goats near and in the water. A few men watching the animals and walking along the water.
Location: near Touggourt.
