English transcription: A few years ago, scientists worldover decided to organize a global inventory of pollution of marine environment. UNESCO sent a team from its scientific and technological department to the Institut für Meereskunde (Marine Science Institute) at KIEL to get acquainted with the work being done in the Baltic sea. Three shots of Kielus and Olympia the two seals that perform a public relations function for the institute. They draw constant crowds as they sport in the big tank in front of the institute.
French transcription: Il y a quelques années, les scientifiques du monde entier ont décidé de procéder à un inventaire de l'état de pollution de l’environnement marin. L'UNESCO a envoyé une équipe de son département du développement scientifique et technologique à l'Institut für Meereskunde (Institut des Sciences Marines) de KIEL, afin de se rendre compte des travaux sur la pollution réalisés en mer Baltique. Kielus et Olympia posent pour le photographe. Ces deux phoques jouent le rôle de public relations de l'Institut lorsqu'ils s'ébattent dans le grand bassin placé à l'entrée.
