The purpose of this project is to further develop the training programme for specialists as well as the advisory services offered to developing countries located in the seismic zones of the world. As a result of extensive research, new techniques have been developed which increase the toughness of the buildings in resisting earthquake attacks and thus now allow the construction of tall buildings like this new World Trade Centre.
