Instruments juridiques

La collection témoigne des rapports juridiques que l’UNESCO établit dans l’exercice de ses activités avec les états membres, les organisations internationales et régionales, les organisations non-gouvernementales, les universités, les fondations, les entreprises, et les personnes privées. La Conférence générale de l’UNESCO adopte aussi des instruments normatifs, y compris, jusqu’à présent : vingt-neuf conventions, trente-deux recommandations, et treize déclarations. De plus, UNESCO peut être nommé dépositaire des instruments adoptés par d’autres conférences intergouvernementales. Les états membres transmettent ensuite d’autres instruments juridiques établis en réponse à ces premiers instruments. La collection comprend les instruments juridiques transférés aux Archives et enregistrés par les archivistes dans l’une des trois séries suivantes : A) Accords signés avec les états membres ; B) Instruments signés avec les organisations, les entreprises ou les personnes privées ; et, C) Dons, legs et testaments.

Second Protocol to the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict

Subsubseries contains ratifications of the 1999 Second Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. If a county ratified the Convention and the First Protocol at the same time as the Second Protocol, all instruments should be filed together in this subsubseries. The Archives staff seem to have skipped registration code numbers on several occasion.
