English transcription: The programme for the Jyväskylä Summer Arts Festival (3-16 July 1966) deals with the problems common to East and West and the interaction between them, particularly in the field of arts and sciences. UNESCO gave financial assistance to the festival under the Programme of Participation of the Major Project. The desire has arisen among the peoples of both East and West to improve their familiarity with the true features of each other's culture. Japanese and Swedish graphic art at the Festival. Japanese poster adverstises a dance performance whereas the Swedish one is an exhibition.
French transcription: Festival d'été de Jyväskylä (3-16 Juillet 1966) sur le thème "Influences réciproques et problèmes communs de l'Orient et de l'Occident notamment dans le domaine des arts et des sciences". L'UNESCO a prêté son concours financier à cette manifestation au titre de son programme de participation dans le cadre du Projet Majeur relatif à l'appréciation mutuelle des valeurs culturelles de l'Orient et de l'Occident. Ici art graphique - deux affiches publicitaires sur le même thème de base l'une est japonaise l'autre est suédoise.

English transcription: "Full participation and equality- The life of handicapped in pictures". To illustrate the International Year of Disabled Persons, UNESCO is staging an exhibition showing the life of the handicapped around the world. These photographs have been provided by UNESCO National Commissions, United Nations agencies, specialized associations and free-lance photographers. They show handicapped persons in their daily lives, learning, creating, taking part in sports and working. Boy without hands. Finland.
French transcription: "Pleine participation et égalité - La vie des handicapés en images". Afin d’illustrer l’Année internationale des personnes handicapées, l’UNESCO a organisé une exposition montrant leur vie dans différents pays. A travers ces photos envoyées par les Commissions Nationales, les agences des Nations-Unies, les associations spécialisées, et les photographes indépendants, on y voit des personnes handicapées, apprendre , travailler, exercer des activités artistiques et sportives.
