La série renferme essentiellement des instruments juridiques signés entre l’UNESCO et les états membres, y compris les agences et les agences publiques. Les instruments comprennent les accords de coopération, les accords de siège, les accords fonds-en-dépôt, et les plans d’opération. De plus, la série se compose des accords signés entre l’UNESCO et les organisations internationales, multilatérales, ou régionales, ainsi que les conventions et les recommandations multilatérales adoptées par la Conférence générale ou par une conférence intergouvernementale qui a désigné l’UNESCO comme dépositaire. Les accords avec l’Université des Nations Unies (UNU), l’Université pour la Paix (UPEACE), et l’Université maritime mondiale (UMM) se trouvent dans cette série. La série comprend les accords avec les universités et les académies publiques, mais pas des instituts de recherche pour lesquels une branche de gouvernement exerce un contrôle. Les accords avec l’Université des Nations Unies (UNU), l’Université pour la Paix (UPEACE), et l’Université maritime mondiale (UMM) se trouvent dans la série A car ils ont été créés par une agence de l’ONU. Les accords qui établissent les Chaires UNESCO se trouvent dans cette série ; toutefois, les instruments sur les réseaux UNITWIN pourraient être classés dans les deux séries, selon les signataires. This file contents two arrangements, concerning two contributions from the Netherlands for the UNESCO's IPDC Programme. These arrangements take place in line with the General Arrangement concluded on 18 Maarch 1994 between the Parties and with an Amendment on 25 February 2008. Each arrangement includes three annexes.

Arrangement (based on a general arrangement) between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and UNESCO, to support the Multi-Donor Programme on Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalists.

This arrangement takes place in line with the General Arrangement concluded on 18 Maarch 1994 between the Parties and with an Amendment on 25 February 2008. Its contents seven annexes, including a presentation document of this Multi Donor Programme's Strategy.

Arrangement (based on a general arrangement) between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and UNESCO, for supporting the Li Beirut Initiative.

This arrangement takes place in line with the General Arrangement concluded on 18 Maarch 1994 between the Parties and with an Amendment on 25 February 2008. The Netherlands' financial contribution is intended to support the Li Beirut Initiative, in particular the project entitled "Supporting Access to Reliable Information during Elections in Lebanon". Among the three annexes, is attached a presentation document of this project.

Memorandum of Understanding between UNESCO and the Generalitat of Catalonia in the fields of Education, Sciences, Culture, and Communication and Information

This memorandum takes place in line with the memorandum signed on 3rd June 2013, to promote collaboration between the Parties in the fields of education, sciences, culture, communication and information, considering the autonomy of Catalonia within the Kingdom of Spain.

This Funds-in-Trust agreement is signed with UNESCO by the Permanent Delegation of the kingdom of Denmark to UNESCO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It contains three annexes, including a Project Document.

Specific Funds-in-Trust Project Agreement between UNESCO and Sweden, represented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)

The agreement takes place within a Framework Agreement (2014) and is intended to support UNESCO's project "Strengthening Sciences, Technology and Innovation (STI) Systems in Africa." The project outline document, including a Result Assessment Framework, a budget and a workplan, are annexed.

Arrangement between UNESCO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) on the third amendment of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Framework of Voluntary Contribution

This agreement is concluded on behalf of donating government ministries and other institutions, according to the UN General Assembly Resolution 72/279 of May 2018 introducing a one percent coordination levy on one-core contributions provided by Member-States in order to support UN development, accepted by Korea in a Memorandum of Understanding on the Framework of her Volontary Contribution, signed in 2015. This agreement takes place in line with a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 2019 to strengthen the cooperation of the Parties in the field of culture and cultural Heritage, and with the National Cultural Strategy launched in 2019 for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Protocol on Amendment to the "Framework agreement between UNESCO and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan for cooperation in the areas of education, sciences, culture and communication" signed on 18 July 2013

With this amendment, the Parties agree to modify some articles of the Framework Agreement signed on 18 July 2013, after deciding to extend the Framework Agreement until 24 September 2023. This amendment is available in two version (English and Azerbaijani).

Les accords sont classés par état membre ou organisation, sauf pour les accords sur l’établissement des bureaux de programmes, qui se trouve dans les dossiers à part. Les accords sont également classés séparément quand il y a plusieurs signataires (ie. un accord signé par l’OMM et l’ICSU se trouve dans un dossier particulier au lieu d’être classé dans le dossier OMM).

Second Protocol to the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict

Subsubseries contains ratifications of the 1999 Second Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. If a county ratified the Convention and the First Protocol at the same time as the Second Protocol, all instruments should be filed together in this subsubseries. The Archives staff seem to have skipped registration code numbers on several occasion.
