Funds-in-Trust agreement between UNESCO and the Ministry of the Environment and Land and Sea Protection of the Italian Republic, to support the "UNESCO international environmental experts network" Programme.

English transcription: An International Campaign for Florence and Venice was opened on 2 December 1966 at UNESCO headquarters by Mr. René Maheu, Diector-General of UNESCO with an appeal to the solidarity of the Organization's Member States. The Campaign is for the preservation and restoration of the works of art of these two cities which were damaged during the floods in November 1966. On the first floor of the Museo dell' Opera del Duomo volunteers are drying the great illuminated antiphonaries by placing absorbant paper between the sheets of parchment.

René Maheu, Directeur Général de l'UNESCO, a ouvert le 2 Décembre 1966, au siège de l'Organisation, par un appel à la solidarité des Etats membres, la Campagne internationale pour la sauvegarde et la restauration des biens culturels de Florence et de Venise endommagés par les inondations de Novembre 1966. Ici, au Ier étage du Musée de la Cathédrale, des volontaires procèdent au séchage des antiphonaires en intercalant une feuille de papier absorbant entre deux feuillets de parchemin.
