English transcription: Mohenjo Daro, ancient capital of the four thousand year old civilisation of the Indus Valley is, today, nothing more than an immense ruin alowly being eaten away by corrosive salts from the Indus river and irrigation canals. At the request of the Government of Pakistan, three missions from UNESCO have been despatched there in order to plan appropriate measures for its protection, in particular, the necessity to pump out the saline water.
