English transcription: The Jesuit Road covers a territory belonging today to Argentina Brazil Paraguay and Uruguay. As far back as the XVIIth Century the Order of the Jesuits sent their missions to preach the Gospel to the heathens and until the end of the XVIIIth Century the missionaries carried out intensive activities in the religious cultural social and economical fields. After their departure the monuments where totally abandoned and decayed rapidly. A regional restoration project is being carried out with the collaboration of the international organizations.
