To illustrate the International Year of Disabled Persons UNESCO is staging an exhibition showing the life of the handicapped around the world. These photographs have been provided by UNESCO National Commissions United Nations agencies specialised associations and free-lance photographers. They show handicapped persons in their daily lives, learning, creating, taking part in sports and working. Disabled persons have the right to medical and social rehabilitation - In a kindergarten for the Disabled. German Democratic Republic.
French transcription: "Pleine participation et égalité - La vie des handicapés en images". Afin d'illustrer l'Année internationale des personnes handicapées, l'UNESCO a organisé une exposition montrant leur vie dans différents pays. A travers ces photos envoyées par les Commissions Nationales, les agences des Nations Unies, les associations spécialisées et les photographes indépendants, on y voit les personnes handicapées apprendre, travailler, exercer des activités artistiques et sportives.
