The whole village watches as this lesson is being recorded by Radio-Senegal. On the bench is the Senegalese sound technician. Seated next to him is M. Michel Bourgeois of France, a UNESCO expert in educational broadcasting, and the class teacher.

English transcription: SENEGAL - Dakar - 1969. UNESCO Pilot Project for the Production of Audio-Visual Materials. One of the particular applications of this project is in rural areas where educational broadcasts are produced. The farmers are consulted, listen to recent radio programmes or discuss their problems in front of the microphone.
