English transcription: Student revolt is sweeping across virtually every part of the world. Though the ferment of youth is a universal phenomenon, the complexity of the problems makes generalization difficult, if not impossible. UNESCO has now begun an international enquiry on youth in collaboration with the United Nations and its Specialized Agencies and a number of specialized research institutions. Its purpose is to gather a maximum of data on the attitude of youth to society, their aspirations, and their view of the future.
French transcription: Un peu partout dans le monde, la jeunesse conteste. Si le malaise est universel, la complexité des problèmes rend malaisée, sinon impossible, toute généralisation. L'UNESCO entreprend à l'échelle internationale une étude comparative et approfondie des questions de la jeunesse. Ce travail s'effectue en coopération avec l'ONU et ses institutions spécialisées ainsi qu'avec certains instituts de recherche.
