To illustrate the International Year of Disabled Persons, UNESCO is staging an exhibition showing the life of the handicapped around the world. These photographs have been provided by UNESCO National Commissions, United Nations agencies, specialized associations and free-lance photographers. They show handicapped persons in their daily lives, learning, creating, taking part in sports and working. Boy without hands. Finland.

Afin d’illustrer l’Année internationale des personnes handicapées, l’UNESCO a organisé une exposition montrant leur vie dans différents pays. A travers ces photos envoyées par les Commissions Nationales, les agences des Nations-Unies, les associations spécialisées, et les photographes indépendants, on y voit des personnes handicapées, apprendre , travailler, exercer des activités artistiques et sportives.
