File contains originals and copies of letters exchanged regarding the Working Agreement on the Long-Term Cooperation in the Field of Hydrology between the Secretariats of UNESCO and WMO. The file also contains a printed exchange of emails wherein the UNESCO Office of International Standards and Legal Affairs confirms that it considers the letters to constitute a legal instrument.

Original letter from WMO was removed from file 551.49 (100) A 17 International Hydrological Programme 1971-1972 from the third chronological series of the Central Registry Collection (AG 8) and replaced with copy in December 2012. At the same time, copies were made of the letters sent by UNESCO from file CAB 6/28 107 Lettres signées par le Directeur général classés par département: ADG/SC, SCE, SCT, SPI - 1973 (AG 8).

Original letters sent by UNESCO are with the WMO, however, the unsigned copies maintained by CAB can be found in CAB 6/28 107 Lettres signées par le Directeur général classés par département: ADG/SC, SCE, SCT, SPI - 1973 (AG 8).
